Seagate FreeAgent Desk 1.5TB External Drive Review

by Harlan Yee on March 2nd, 2010

The 1.5TB Seagate FreeAgent Desk is a slender external hard drive that holds a lot of data! If you get one of these, you’ll have enough storage for quite awhile. Because I like to archive projects with all my captured video clips intact, the capacity of this drive is perfect for keeping my complete project files together which includes all graphics, audio and video so I don’t have to re-ingest at a future date. This is a great timesaver if and when a client wants to revise a video project sometime in the future.

Energy Friendly

The Seagate FreeAgent Desk has built-in capability to save energy that puts your drive in sleep mode after it’s been idle for 15 minutes.

This drive is very thin and small so it won’t take up much space on your desk and the exterior has a nice modern look. I like this a lot more than some of my other drives that are like bricks! The FreeAgent series of drives offer up to 2TB of storage.
