My Three Most Viewed YouTube Videos Of 2011

by Harlan Yee on January 26th, 2012

I produce video on a daily basis for clients wanting to advertise on television so I know a lot of people see my work whenever they turn on their TV. But as I get more into blogging and internet marketing, I’m trying to find time to produce my own videos for YouTube to use as additional content on my websites. Overall, I’ve probably published about 20 videos on YouTube between 2010 and 2011.

Now it is 2012 and I thought it’d be interesting to see which of my YouTube videos got the most views last year. The 3 videos were all shot with digital cameras… either with my Canon Powershot SX200 or my Canon 7D. No more camcorders for me. I’ll start with the video with the 3rd highest views and go up.

It might be interesting to note that I didn’t use an external microphone in these videos. In fact, the Powershot SX200 doesn’t even have a microphone input. Even without a microphone, I think the audio turned out ok. I’m usually posistioned just to the left of the camera with my head about 8 inches from the built-in mic.

I’m hoping to increase the number of YouTube videos I produce this year and for me, using a digital camera makes this task a lot easier. 1. Hey Harlan. One of my new directions for 2012 is to upload to YouTube a LOT more video. I’m on the revenue share program with YouTube now and I feel it can be financially rewarding. I earned enough last month on Youtube to pay my cable TV bill. Do the math and it doesn’t take a genius to realize that more video = more money.

You make great videos and I’ll be looking forward in watching what you do in 2012.

Wow! That’s nice you’re making that much on YouTube alone! I’ve got the invite to start making money on YouTube but haven’t signed up yet. There’s too many projects I’m working on right now. Who said this blogging business was easy? Anyways, video is definetely playing a bigger part in what I do this year also.
